The Combat Knife
Durability
The Combat Knife now has its own durability meter, and certain actions will cause it to lose durability (some more than others). If broken, you likely have to speak to the Merchant to get it repaired.
Stealth And Crouching
Another new feature is the ability for Leon to crouch. While this can be used to get under objects and tripwire mines, it also reduces the enemy's ability to detect Leon in certain scenarios.
Ashley
Resident Evil 4's Ashley has undergone a significant transformation in the 2023 remake, emerging as a more complex and capable character.
No More QTE's
It appears purely cutscene-specific QTEs have been replaced with different events or scenarios, like the fight against Krauser.
New Lighting And Environment
New weather and more distinct times of day have also been seen, making the night time chapters harder to see, and also including torrential downpours of rain.
New Side Quest
There are many new quest added to the game. These requests can be turned into the Merchant for rewards, which seem to make them a worthwhile endeavor.
